The Inspiration:

Buster was my first Golden Retriever and the love of my life. He has long since passed but is always with me in my heart and soul. He made me a better human.

Joddu (the caricature to the right) was the most challenging and the most rewarding rescue dog that I have ever had the privilege to foster, work with and eventually couldn't live without. He was many years a work in progress. He was a goofball and lunatic all the time. He ended up being a great foster brother to dozens of dogs who ended up with us until they found their forever homes. He taught them that life was good and to trust humans again. He is what rescue is all about. He passed in 8/2010 with several of our friends by his side. He still makes me laugh every time I think about him.
